Join us for two evenings to learn the basics of Sashiko hand stitching. Explore sashiko tools, including needle, sashiko thread, fabrics and sashiko patterns while creating a charming hand-stitched sashiko to take home. You’ll leave with practical skills you can continue using for clothing, bags, accessories, and future mending projects. All materials included.
What You’ll Learn
An introduction to Sashiko stitching, from tools, sashiko patterns to stitching sequences
Two classic sashiko patterns, Asanoha (hamp leaf) and Seigaiha (blue ocean wave)
How to create a finished sashiko pincushion.
Mindful and practical stitching skill you can continue at home.
Some hand-sewing experience is recommended.
