Saturday, March 28 from 10-3 (with tea and critique at 3pm)
(Materials list will be sent upon registration.)
Watercolor is a uniquely transparent medium with its own set of techniques. Depth and contrast happen as the painting is layered with transparent color through techniques like glazing and negative painting.
Different ways of “saving whites” will be addressed. This workshop will help you avoid images that look “muddy”. Knowing more about brushwork and color choices will greatly enhance your experience. Demonstrations and individual assistance will be ongoing throughout the class.
Our subject matter will focus on ocean themes. The studio will be filled with a variety of specimens and references.
